For our last month of grade five we are going to be focusing on the value of citizenship. Citizenship is both a right and a responsibility. Yesterday we concentrated on our responsibility to be honest with each other and ourselves.
Today we are going to be responsible citizens of John MacNeil by taking care of the environment. We will each spend some time today cleaning up the playground. We will dedicate 10 minutes after lunch, as soon as the bell rings, to cleaning up. Haris will check with Mr. Lewis to see if there are bags and plastic gloves that we can use.
We feel that it is important to take care of our space, as responsible citizens, because this is the place where we hang out. We will enjoy our playground area more when it is clean.
